Went to hike Mount Fansipan from 4-6 Oct 2017. Something I have been wanting to do since 4 years ago, after landing in Sapa.

It was not so much of conquering the mountain but the sights of the mountains below as I hike up to 3,143 m asl. It rained as I was hiking up to 2,800 m asl. Luckily, it was clear skies as we could see twilight skies with huge round moon.

Woke up early 430am and ascend Fansipan around 630am. Beautiful sunrise and you can see huge Buddha statue sitting in top of Fansipan. Still under construction. There is a cable car for VND110,000 one way for those who do not want to hike up.
