Sometimes when you least expect it, your client brings up the mood of the tour. I thought today will be another guiding day, like any other day. I was wrong.
My client brought ‘teachable moments’. An Indian smashing coconut in front of temple before entering, a monk chanting mantras with a single orange woven thread held by a family of 10, chatting with a man from Syrian Orthodox church, being able to witness mass at Syrian Church and having an insight of a local community in Brickfields. From chatting from the local community, alot has changed. Acceptance towards new migrant workers, land space limitation are among some of the main issues plaquing Brickfields. One of my favourite bungalow mansion is going to be demolished soon within a year. I will so miss you.
Thank you Lord. Life can’t get more exciting.
