Most Thursday mornings, I would go to pasar tani and get my vegetables and Nasi Kerabu. Go to the hawker stalls order my teh tarik and have my nasi kerabu there. Here I meet many locals. Some have chatted with me, shared their routine and life stories. Some even show me pictures of their family and pets too.
Azmi was a retired army, has 5 children all grown up and working in various fields. He saw me looking distress or busy. I told him I had to deliver 11 bicycle pumps and some chains and my folded bicycle could not carry everything. He was so kind to offer help and deliver my pump with my folded bicycle to my destination. Without wanting anything in return.
I don’t have his contact no but I like to think there are still very kind souls in this world. Despite society’s ugliness, there are still kind souls out there. #bikewithelena
